This is primarily a bug fix update to VegasMate.
Changes
- Added the ability to manually update the search index if it is older than one day. The system should keep this up to date on its own - you shouldn’t need to manage this yourself.
- Adjusted the layout of the trip view a little bit, for better legibility.
- Changed the detail screen map view to standard, from satellite, for better legibility.
- Your purchased status is now reflected with either green or red in the store area.
- More aggressive file caching for better performance and offline support.
- Reload the index screen less frequently.
- Trip support now includes an option to de-duplicate your trips if you end up with multiple copies due to a broken import.
Bug Fixes
- Reduced overall memory consumption, making for a nicer app.
- Fixed a bug where imported trips from backups or shared files could have times that were slightly off (i.e. 9:59am instead of 10:00am). Note that the fix doesn’t apply to previously saved files - a new export/import is required to gain the benefit of the fix. Backups are created automatically when you leave the app and should be updated after one save cycle.
- Fixed a bug where ancient trips not recently completed would still prompt for trip reviews.
- Fixed a bug where hotels with expired (i.e. not currently active) activities would still appear in the list.
- Fixed a bug where a purchase wouldn’t reload the store screen so it was sometimes hard to tell if the credit applied properly.
- Fixed a bug on iPad where if you visited subsequent hotels in the same session, only the first hotel would have an accurate map header.
- Increased the frequency which restaurant open/closed status is computed to ensure that recently updated/downloaded restaurants show properly when you filter to ‘Only Open’.
- Updated the nearby screen to detect if you have disabled Location Services to both give you a note about it and also not to show invalid (i.e. 0 feet) distances.
- Made an adjustment so VegasMate is more likely to welcome you to Vegas when you *arrive*, not as you’re leaving. Sorry I made some people sad.
- Added some new internal support tools to help us help you if you run into trouble.
- Fix for a problem where checking for a previously subscribed version would not update the UI right away.
