tappr.tv - community created music visuals for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch 8.0.3

Device: iOS Universal
Category: Entertainment
Price: Free, Version: 8.0.2 -> 8.0.3 (iTunes)

Description:

As seen at Burning Man, Maker Faire, GLOW, and LoveTech!

tappr.tv is a new kind of visual jukebox app for iOS that let's you make, publish, and remix your own music visuals, called dances, using over 100 visual instruments called wands. Each wand uniquely responds to your touches with bursts of particles and light, and can be recorded into separate tracks.

• Wands

The foundation of tappr.tv is the wand, an instrument that makes light instead of sound. Each wand reacts to your taps, swipes, and tilts, to make beautiful visuals. There are 100 of wands available to play with.

• Dances

Dances are music visuals with multiple tracks of wand movements. You can make and publish your own dances, and you can browse

- Featured = 5-star dances by the community, picked by deeje
- Popular = displays the most watched dances on tappr.tv in the last 30 days
- Favorites = dances you've rated with 4 or 5 stars
- Newest = displays the last 30 dances published by the tappr.tv community

• Ratings

To help the tappr.tv community find the best dances, you can rate the ones you watch from 1 star "OK" to 5 stars "Awesome". You can quickly find and play your 4- and 5-star dances in your Favorites dance list.

• Studio

This is where you create or remix dances. When you select a dance, you can see and edit its tracks, change each track's wand, and record wand movements. Once you've created a dance you like, you can publish it for others to watch and rate. Once you publish a dance, its data is uploaded to the tappr.tv service and the dance is locked. The best dances are about as long as the song they accompany.

• Music

tappr.tv is BYOM, or bring-your-own-music. When playing a dance, tappr.tv will search your iTunes music library as well as your Spotify or Rdio premium subscriptions for a matching song (and fall back to an iTunes preview in case you want to add it to your library).

• Inputs

There are actually 4 kinds of inputs available for wands: Touch/Tilt, Audio, Baton (Giro), and Network. Multiple iDevices can be networked together so that their wand motions can be composited and projected in real-time.

• Video Out & Continuous Play

You can attach your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch to an HDTV, via either an AV cable or AirPlay, and configure tappr.tv to play continuously and shuffle thru a dance list. Great for chillaxin or your next house party!

• Deference, Clarity, and Depth

tappr.tv has been completely redesigned for iOS 7, taking the core design principles to heart and resulting in a gorgeous user experience. Content remains front and center, and provides dynamic context while you browse various dance lists. And best of all, dance tracks take advantage of the motion parallax effect, so you can watch a dance and literally dance along with your iDevice for an entirely unique visual experience!
