We make great, interactive travel guides.
To make our guides we use the content that is freely available. Open content sites like Wikitravel, Wikipedia, World66 and Openstreetmap are among the best resources for any traveler. Our mission is to make that content relevant for you. So we mix and mash and annotate - and we distill great, relevant travel guides out of it.
We like open content. In fact some of us were involved in World66, one of the first open content travel guides on the web. Triposo's travel guides are very much a re-mix of open content out there.
Currently we're using content from: Wikipedia, Wikitravel, World66, Open Streetmaps, DMOZ and Chefmoz
We're big fans of these projects. If you stumble across some inaccurate information in this guide, we would appreciate it if you correct it on the web site of these projects.
What's New
We have fixed a number of bugs in 3.0.2 since the initial launch, including one where the app would crash when you tap on the suggestion notification from the saved places list. Thank you for sending us these crash reports!
Some backstory about the 3.0 release:
While we were driving through Spain and Portugal in an entertainer coach with the entire Triposo Team, we had the idea for this release: Create a continuous stream of suggestions that can adapt to the travelers’ needs. Let the app point you to some great coffee shops in the neighborhood to warm up your day. Let it show you hidden gems in the city with tips from fellow travelers. Let it suggest places to eat when it’s about dinner time. And the list goes on.
After 2 months of hard work, we are proud to present the latest revision, codenamed Fugu. In addition to the suggestion stream and a more refined layout optimized for iOS 7, we have also introduced a new feature that helps you plan your own walking tours on the fly. We hope this update will make your trip more spontaneous, more fun.
